Alan Sidney Patrick Rickman, popularly known as Alan Rickman was a British who was a popular English actor by profession. He served in the industry from the year 1974 to the year 2016. He was an actor and director from England.


He was nominated for a Tony Award for his performance as the Vicomte de Valmont in the RSC stage production of Les Liaisons Dangereuses in 1985, and again when the drama relocated to the West End in 1986 and Broadway in 1987.
